The Hon. Tony Abbott MP was the special guest at the Australia Chinese Charity Foundation (ACCF) Lunar New Year dinner at Marigold Restaurant on Saturday evening.

Quoting from President Xi Jinping’s recent visit for the signing of the ChAFTA the proverb: “If you want to walk fast, walk alone. If you want to walk far, walk together.” As the largest source of immigrants, students and tourists, China is a very important relationship to Australia. This is auspicious in the “Year of the Sheep” as many say Australia was built on the sheep’s back!

David To, NAB Private Wealth has had a long term partnership with ACCF, and I was delighted together with my Asia Active colleagues, Kim Hughes, Shannon Kong and Tina Shen to host some of our valued clients and business partners.

The Deb Bailey Foundation, who our co-sponsor PwC assisted to obtain the funding to build the amazing centre for research into motor neurone disease at Macquarie University, received a cheque for $30,000 raised during the evening.
