Sydney China Business Forum – China’s Health Revolution – Monday 2nd November

China studies traditional-medicine-220Presented by the University of Sydney, the 2015 Sydney China Business Forum will be focusing on China’s health revolution and opportunities across industries.

Under the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement, Australian and Chinese companies are set to gain greater access to healthcare products, services and partnerships than ever before.

This full day event provides an opportunity to hear from thought leaders in the health care sector across  government, academia and industry including Blackmores, Cochlear, PuraPharm, and Ramsay Health. Panel discussions include:

  • Key trends in China’s health industry – and opportunities across medical devices and technologies, aged care, digital and ICT, food and beverages
  • Digital Economy and ICT  – e-health, tele-health and m-health in China and demand for hospital/medical central information systems
  • Healthcare and nutrition – the thirst for imported food and beverage products, the increase of ‘lifestyle’ diseases, changing spectrum of medical service providers – from GPs to large scale hospitals
  • Ageing in China – ChAFTA provisions for aged care providers, cross border transactions in aged care, and opportunities and considerations for Australian business in entering the market.

The event will also include the launch NAB’s report on Australia-China healthcare opportunities.

Following networking drinks, the Gala dinner will include keynote speakers the Hon Gladys Berejiklian, NSW Treasurer and Deputy Liberal Leader and the Hon Prudence Goward, NSW Minister for Mental Health, Medical Research and Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault.
