The second leg of this years Migration Alliance SIV national roadshow hosted by NAB was held in Sydney on Tuesday 1st September having kicked off in Melbourne the previous week.
Guests were treated to a panel of industry experts moderated by Paul Bailey, Director NAB Migrant Banking.
Suzanne Gillham, NSW Department of Industry, provided an overview of the Significant Investor Visa program and objectives for NSW, while Marketing Manager, Alina Caballero, shared some of the proposed activities to position NSW as the preferred business, investor and skilled migration destination.
Providing an overview of NAB’s advice led proposition, Stacey Martin, Specialist Wealth Advisor and SIV Steering Committee Chair, shared her experience in working with applicants and their agents, and how this assisted in designing a range of solutions for the new investment framework.
Other panelists included specialist investment managers from small company funds, and SIV complying balancing items including fixed income and property securities. Deborah Johns, leading industry lawyer also explained the operation of early stage venture capital structures.
